			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Crockpot Chicken and Gravy</p>
<p>3 whole chicken breasts &#8212; halved, you can also use thighs or legs or any parts.. skinned is best but not absolutely necessary&#8230; this is a versatile recipe<br />
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms<br />
4 Tablespoons butter<br />
4 Tablespoons whole wheat flour<br />
2 cups water<br />
1 Tablespoon chicken broth powder<br />
1 teaspoon parsley flakes<br />
1 teaspoon Worcestershire<br />
1 teaspoon soy sauce<br />
1 heaping teaspoon chopped garlic</p>
<p>Place the chicken breasts and sliced mushrooms in the crock pot. In a saucepan on the stove melt butter and add flour.  Stir this until bubbly and then add water and broth powder.  Stir and boil this until it is nice and thick.  Remove from heat and add Worcestershire sauce and garlic.  Pour over chicken breasts. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.  Serve this with rice, noodles or biscuits and a salad.</p>

1 cup sour cream<br />
1 10 oz. can Rotel tomatoes or 1 ¼ cups salsa<br />
6 whole wheat flour tortillas<br />
2 to 3 cups of grated cheese, cheddar or Monterey Jack or a combo</p>
<p>Mix chicken, soup, sour cream, and Rotel or salsa together.<br />
Spray your crock pot with non-stick spray and lay 2 large tortillas on the bottom.<br />
Then layer 1/3 the chicken mixture and then 1/3 the cheese.<br />
Repeat with layers two times again starting with the tortillas and ending with the cheese.<br />
Cook on low for 6 hours.<br />
Serve with extra salsa, chips or corn bread and a salad.</p>

1/2 teaspoon pepper<br />
1 teaspoon olive oil<br />
1 large onion, sliced<br />
1 medium bulb garlic (about 20 cloves)</p>
<p>Remove giblets from chicken; remove as much fat as possible. Rinse<br />
and drain chicken; pat dry inside and out with paper towels.</p>
<p>In a small bowl, combine salt, paprika, pepper, and oil; mix to form<br />
paste. Spread evenly over chicken. Place onion in Crock-Pot. Place<br />
chicken, breast side up, over onion. Separate garlic into cloves; do<br />
not peel cloves. Place garlic cloves in and around chicken. Cover;<br />
cook on low setting for at least 7 hours or until chicken is tender<br />
and juices run clear.</p>
